Today we took a trip to Glasnevin Cemetery. We visited the graves of some of the people we’ve been learning about in History as part of the Bloody Sunday 1920 commemorations . We’ve been working really hard on a project with Teacher Amy and decided a trip to Glasnevin would be a nice way to finish it . We visited the graves of Michael Collins , Daniel O’Connell , EamonDe Valera , Kitty Kieran , Maud Gonne , James Larkin and Charles Stewart Parnell . We also took the time to visit some of the people who died on Bloody Sunday 1920 . We managed to find the graves of Jerome O’Leary and James Teehan which was not an easy task considering there is over 1.5 million people buried there . We left flowers and said prayers for them.
