Bloody Sunday 1920 GAA Commemoration winners from Kilcoskan !! 🏆

23rd Apr 2021

During the month of November 2020 5th and 6th class took part in a cumann na mBunscoil competition all over Ireland to remember everyone who died on Bloody Sunday.

Teacher Amy Fisher came in to our class and kindly gave us a big helping hand and of course along with Teacher Trish and June.

We learnt all about Bloody Sunday and the few days beforehand. When we had finished learning about it, the class split into groups and we all got a different parts of the story.

We did our project on a digital power point with lots of interesting facts and voice overs from students of the class. We sent it on the 25th of November and then we just had to wait ………..

A few months later after we had come back from school after the Christmas break the results were in.
It turns out that we were placed in the top 10 in Ireland.  https://www.cnmb.ie/bloody-sunday-competition.asp

Although we did not come in 1st place we did receive a plaque that is been displayed in our classroom- which was a truly incredible acheivement .

It was great fun making the project and also learning about a very important part of our Irish history.

Getting highly placed really put the icing on top the cake. Again a huge thank you to everyone who helped us make the project.
