Hello everyone,

Hope you’re all keeping well. I had a query from a brave parent attempting Gaeilge at home. I want to give you some clarity and also some online access to books. I received free access to the Béal Beo 3 and 4 online, as well as other EDCO books.

1. Log in to the EDCO website at www.edcolearning.ie/loginUsername: primaryedcobooks Password: edco2020

This will give access to a range of books - Literacy, Gaeilge, History, Science, Geography, Maths etc.

Hope this is all clear and please continue to contact me if needed.

Thanks,

Aoife OC

For now to clear up my Gaeilge home study.

I recommended 3 topics that have been covered already so they 'should' know the vocabulary needed. Mé féin, éadaí agus bia.

I would look for textbook pages that are still blank - these could be reading, writing or listening activities. This will allow for some revision. Then see below:

1. Log in to the EDCO website at www.edcolearning.ie/loginUsername: primaryedcobooks Password: edco2020

2. On top left search bar select Béal Beo 3 or Béal Beo 4

3. Click on the book.

4. Click on the topic chapter , for example Mé féin.

5. Go to the page your child is working on in the text book with the forward and back arrows at the bottom of the screen.

6. Listen or watch the stories or activities if available - for example, BB 4 page 11 Scéal An fheirm. Click the purple speakerphone to hear the story being read.

7. If there is a CBI note on the bottom of the textbook page there are Interactive activities available.

Interactive activities

Log into Edco but do not click on the book

1. Click on the purple computer that says Edco Resources.

2. This will bring a list. Select Animations or Interactive activities.

3. Select the Chapter topic you are working on.

4. This will bring an interactive homepage where your child can choose different activities.
